CPediatric Chiropractor Christopher Outtenhristopher R. Outten, D.C.

Dr. Christopher Outten is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
He has been in private practice in Cary for over 20 years. He practiced in New Paltz, N.Y. for two years before coming to    North Carolina. 

He was President of the NCCA in 2003-2004 and continues to be involved and make a difference in our state. Dr. Outten strives to maintain the highest level of integrity and personal commitment to his practice members health care needs. He acknowledges the devastating effects of the vertebral subluxation complex on human health and therefore goes to extraordinary measures in educating our community about the benefits of chiropractic for the restoration of health.

He was named Doctor of the Year in 2004 for the NCCA. That same year he received a National Honor award from the Master’s Circle for having the Most Valuable Practice. The award accredits him for having faithful devotion and exceptional services to his practice members, community and the Chiropractic profession.

In January 2009, Dr. Outten moved his practice up the road and opened a new state of the art chiropractic facility featuring the latest technology available today in the Chiropractic Profession. Our SpineMED Therapy Spinal Decompression System is a safe, non-surgical, drug-free procedure for Herniated/Degenerative Discs, Sciatica, Radiculopathy, Facet Syndrome, Spinal Stenosis and is perfect for Pre/Post Surgical patients. The K-Laser Level IV Cold Laser Therapy is an  FDA cleared therapeutic treatment that manages pain and inflammation while accelerating  tissue regeneration. Laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen and nutrients to the damaged area. The IMPULSE iQ is a technological masterpiece of design and  engineering. It is a sophisticated technical instrument used by Dr. Outten for spinal analysis and adjustment. This system uses an advanced software package designed to assist the doctor in locating and correcting subluxation and/or fixations. 

The Subluxation Station is the latest way to have your spine checked for nerve interference. Combined with the latest computer technology to aid analysis, this technology has taken Chiropractic assessment to the next level. Our In-house High Frequency X-Ray equipment provides the best quality diagnostic studies. The 3-D Body View postural analysis system is the newest tool in digitally scanning your feet to visibly demonstrate foot and posture problems. Custom orthotics can be ordered directly from your Associate foot scan and are delivered right to our office.

Dr. Outten has a post-graduate certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics. He has a compassion for children and desire to see them grow strong and stay healthy. This devotion compels him to educate our community about the importance of having a child’s spine and nervous system checked from an early age. 

Dr. Outten has been practicing chiropractic for 23 years and in private practice in Cary, NC for over 20 years. He and his wife Lisa have two children Megan and Christopher. They are proud to call North Carolina Home.

Dr. Chris was born and raised right here in Cary, North Carolina. Growing up around Outten Chiropractic his entire life, he always dreamed of becoming a chiropractor and being able to work alongside his father. He attended East Carolina University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology on the pre-med track. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange Florida, where he graduated magna cum laude in September 2022. Dr. Chris has a passion for treating patients of all ages and believes that each family can experience the benefits of chiropractic care. Dr. Chris’s ultimate goal in life is to make the world a better place through education, positivity, and chiropractic.

Kim has been with our office since 2013. She is the office's New Patient Advocate and will handle all aspects of your insurance filing. She will also assist Dr. Outten with patient therapies and taking x-rays.
